Salina marks its southern gateway with a sculptural installation by nationally acclaimed Tucson artist, Barbara Grygutis. "Dawn's Silver Lining" is inspired by the familiar rural shelter belts where trees are silhouetted against the Kansas horizon. The median-specific artwork features three large-scale layered metal sculptures... providing a unique and distinctly Kansas experience... a familiar landscape... icons of this place.
